Dave Bensmiller is the eldest of the 3 Bensmiller brothers who compete on the WPCA Dodge Pro Tour. He won the Orville Strandquist Award for top rookie driver at the 2006 Calgary Stampede and was co-recipient of the WPCA Most Improved Outfit Award in 2005. As an outrider Dave is a 2-time Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby Champion Outrider and a 2-time recipient of the WPCA's Rod Glass Memorial Award for most improved outrider. A 5th place overall finish at the 2008 Grande Prairie Stompede and a 6th place overall finish at the Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship were his best of the year and the best of his career so far. Dave and his wife Krista, and new baby Presly Rose make their home near Beiseker, Alberta.
